Hey Reggie’s Sweater fans!
You’ve probably noticed that I hadn’t returned in August, as I had planned in my last post. I’ll be back on this project soon, I just need more time to recharge with other quilt/creative projects.
Yes, I will finish this quilt!
In the meantime, if you want to see more of my work you can check out another quilt blog I have at Quilts Rule Everything Around Me. I’ve posted pics of most of my finished projects, and will be adding new ones as they’re done.
Thanks for sticking around!
Hey sweater fans! Last week’s post officially marked 40% completion of the Reggie’s Sweaters Quilt! Whooooo!
It’s been a blast making these blocks and I can see my quilting skills improving with each one. But I’m feeling more pressure and less pleasure each week, so I think it’s time to take an official break.
In the meantime I’ll likely be working on other quilt projects, so check out my Instagram (@alainabcyr) for updates. You may even see some frog photos now and again.
I’ll also be spending time on my thesis, so please send treats.
And I will also be trying to enjoy the summer as I can.
Thank you all for your interest in this project over the last few months! I’ll be back with my Friday updates in August!
The first sweater on Comedy Bang! Bang!
OK, OK, so it’s probably really a drone and not a robot space cat, but I call ’em like I see ’em.
The first and only improv pieced Rosebud-style block on Reggie’s Sweaters. Definitely a fun block to make!
Original sweater comes custom-made from Blazinbell.
I’ve returned! Took an unexpected hiatus for a few weeks while I finished and then recuperated from a semester of school. I’m back to my regular schedule now.
Another appliqué piece, I call this one “Blue Plankton” because it looks a lot like Plankton from SpongeBob SquarePants, and I’m not sure what else to call it.
Happy Good Friday, everyone!
This block is my first dip into machine appliqué and embroidery! Simple design that was perfect to learn from. This sweater comes from Kin Ship Goods.
